Contract Law - Contracts to which the 1943 Act doesn't apply
The Law Reform (Frustrated Contracts) Act 1943 doesn't apply to any of the following types of contract: (1) any charterparty, except a time charterparty or a charterparty by demise1, or to any contract (other than a charterparty) for the carriage of goods by sea2; (2) any contract of insurance3; or (3) any contract to which the provision of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 which relates to goods perishing before sale but after agreement applies4, or any other contract for the sale, or for the sale and delivery, of specific goods5 where the contract is frustrated by reason of the fact that the goods have perished6.
